The clients at this Mount Desert Island residence expressed the desire to both protect and highlight their existing garden spaces while also improving the access between the parking area and the house. They wanted to formalize the area while honoring the rustic nature of the site. Amorphous Studio designed an updated approach and surrounding garden paths for this coastal residence. The design focused on reclaimed materials and low-impact construction techniques to minimize disruption during installation, while reducing both costs and ecological impact on the surrounding environment.
