Amorphous Studio conducted a visualization study to address a developer's concerns about preserving ocean views in a proposed subdivision in Bar Harbor, Maine. The client wanted to ensure that each of the six properties would be guaranteed ocean views, and to outline where potential viewshed conflicts might occur if houses were built too close. To this end, further restrictions on the building envelope were proposed. Using terrain modeling, viewshed analysis and renderings, the study identified optimal building envelopes for each property, ensuring that ocean views were preserved for all homes in the development.
