Maliseet Veterans Memorial

Working with the Houlton Band of Maliseets, a memorial space was designed using granite aligned with the four directions to honor veterans, incorporating tribal input to ensure the site preserved cultural identity and traditions.

The Houlton Band of Maliseets wished to honor their veterans with a memorial space made of granite aligned with the four directions. Through collaboration and tribal input, we were able to situate the memorial in a way that honored the spirits and aligned with their cultural traditions.
